Music is a must….
Having music in the background makes me want to dance around, fidget, and keep the feet moving.
Having an MP3 player for listening to PODRUNNER.com tunes got me moving... and they kept me moving. PODRUNNER has FREE MP3 tunes that can be used for any type of exercise. They consist of music that is set up to a certain beat per minute. For example a slow walk may be 120 beats per minute (BPM) while a fast run is 180 BPM. You can use the music to help you keep a steady pace for any activity. There are FREE prep programs for 5k, 8k and 10k runs, as well as varied beat mixes for building strength and endurance. I’m so captivated by the music that I’ve started donating to the cause.
While constantly moving may be great for calorie burning it looks a bit weird to the general public. I have been stopped on corners and in stores to be asked what I was doing and why. Funny things can happen after I give them my answers, some shake their heads, some laugh and some praise, but some have actually started stepping it up. =)
Since I’ve started moving more, I've noticed my circulation is much better than in the past. DH is sitting around with layers on and I'm comfortable. I know it's because I'm moving more, because on the days I don't I'm chilly -- truth!
I have music in my office, in the car and at home. With my MP3 player, I have music on the move too!
I will bop 'til I drop! =)
