New year but I'll just keep on keepin' on

No fancy resolutions for me, I'm already doing what I need to do.
Found on SP's facebook page. Great pic indeed. 2014 was a good year for me, at least when it comes to finally getting my butt in gear to lose weight and focus more on fitness. I had been wanting to do it (not really wanting though, because if I really, REALLY wanted it, I would have done it a long time ago...) since january (you know, "new year, new me" etc) but it just didn't happen because I didn't MAKE it happen.
Now I finish this year 10 kg lighter and a lot happier. I learned a lot and I know I'll keep learning..
I finally understand now how important it is to have a support system, and mine is SP and all the AMAZING friends here. There's always support and encouragement when you need it. Thank you.
2014 was a dark year in other ways though. Just recently my arabic teacher's mosque (he's the imam there) was vandalized, arson according to the police. Obvious hate crime, one of many this year. There has been an attack each month on mosques around Sweden, and probably many more that are not reported because they know there's no point. Nothing gets done about it anyway.
All along muslims (mainly women) are verbally and sometimes physically attacked outside. I know several women who have been pushed or even beaten outside by random strangers telling them to "go home" and that they're not welcome. It's sad and it scares me. I hope 2015 brings about change. I pray for a calm and safe year for everyone, regardless of faith or lack thereof.. I love my country and I hate to see this happening..
So, good bye 2014, hello 2015. May God protect us ALL, and help make this year a year of LOVE, FAITH, UNITY and REPENTANCE.
