New Year - Same Old Problem

So, four months since my last surgery. That was really a mess. The surgery went ok but then something seemed to be wrong the next day and the surgeon opened me up again, then figured out he really hadn't needed to do the second surgery. Unfortunately he had to open me up again two weeks later because I was badly infected. That time he left me open and put in a wound vac. I was supposed to be in the hospital 5 days but it turned into 19 days. That was followed by six weeks of lugging the wound vac around with me all day and night while driving way up north every day to get infusions of antibiotics. After all that time laying in a hospital bed, going to the clinic for the infusions and hospital for dressing changes plus taking care of necessities was all I could handle for the first couple months.
Once the infusions were over and the wound vac out, I started having more energy and pushed myself to do more. I'm a lot stronger now, although not enough to be on the go continuously. But I am starting a beginner cardio exercise routine from Fitness Blender. It involves doing three rounds of 6 exercises, each done continuously for 1 minute each round. Boring but it's easy to just do it. I'm going to stick with it for a month, every other day and next week I'll start something else on the alternate days, maybe stepping or learning an aerobic dance routine. I found a chart online that lists all the stretches needed to accomplish a full body stretch routine and have been working through that every other day. I'm going to limit the walking for a while and see if this cardio routine is less stressful for my hips. Ok so far but it's very early days.
