I'm a better cook than I thought

I get stuck in a rut with my cooking, going to the same tried and true recipes in a haphazard rotation. Tonight I fixed my family brand new recipes and our dinner was delicious
I found a recipe for crab with flounder fillets and followed the directions on the recipe. I cut back on the butter by about 1/4th. I fixed a baked sweet potato and I roasted Brussels sprouts to round out the meal.
My DH said it was better than Red Lobster. Of course, we didn't have the cheese biscuits, but it beat going out on a cold rainy night. Another plus was saving the eating out money, plus knowing I was in charge of how it was prepared.
I may branch out more!
