Day 61 - Pushing Ahead

Thursday, January 29, 2015

I had a major surprise this morning when I did my weekly weigh-in and was down 3.5 pounds from last week. I think I can attribute the loss from a combination of factors - the big UHaul move last weekend was a bigger workout than I thought; the massage I had last Thursday helped to release some stored toxins (and their associated "stuff"); and my attempts to increase water intake to help facilitate the removal of that "stuff." Still, it was a very pleasant surprise!

My head feels 100% better now that the tooth is gone and the infection is starting to wane. I'm getting excited about the possibilities of getting new replacements for those back molars to give me back a real chewing experience. I know it will take some time, but I've learned to be patient!

Our niece Jamie, the one getting married in May, messaged me last night asking if I'd given any more thought to the song I'm going to sing at the wedding when they are lighting the Unity candle. I gave her a website that has a long list of song ideas and encouraged her and Dillon (her fiance) to browse through the list and see what they like. After all, it's their wedding, right? But I thought I'd put it out to you Sparkers as well: what's your favorite love song that's appropriate for a wedding?

Have a great Thursday, everyone!

Congratulations on the 3 pounds loss. I'm so proud of you. Keep moving and you will see the progress. You made me so happy. That just makes me want to motivate myself and move along with you. I just got inspire. When do you do your weigh-ins? weekly? next time let me know so we could do it together.

I'm glad you don't have the toothache anymore. I know how painful that could be. Just follow the dentist instructions and you will be okay.

In regards to your neice wedding song. She should pick a song that's meaningful to them and their relationship. It's great that you asked her to pick something because like you said, it's her wedding. Here is our wedding song. It means alot to us and she could borrow it. Here's the link to the song: It's called I cross my heart from George Strait. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-L

Here are some videos I found on youtube regarding lightning the unity candle. I hope this helps.

Way to go! My scale is holding steady. I hold it to the fact I haven't worked out in two weeks due to my sickness. I have the gym bag in the car though.

Well done on the weight loss, glad you're feeling better. I walked down the aisle to something by George Harrison

Glad you are feeling better. Congrats on the weight loss. Hum...the song -- a tough one. I need to think about it.

Got your wonderful e-mail last night! Haven't had time to respond yet, but know reading your e-mail was one of the highlights of my day!

Glad that you're feeling better and that you dropped some weight this week! Good for you!!

I know just the song for your niece's wedding. It's not a run-of-the-mill wedding song, either. About 15 years ago, Melanie (I love Melanie!!!!) recorded a gorgeous version of the Seekers' hit "I'll Never Find Another You." I can almost hear it with harps: "There's a new world somewhere, they call the promised land..." If you want, I'll e-mail you the song file.
