New focus, new reasons

well here I am. Back at it for the umpteenth time. I guess that is better than giving up on myself totally. I have been a very successful dieter, not a very good keep it offer! This time the reason is very different. I suffered a slipped disc and have been going through a very long painful recovery. I had to stop all exercising for a period of time. Then I had to overcome a fear of exercising because I was afraid I would hurt my back again. I have successfully been riding my bike and tracking for about a month. I am doing well and feeling much better. I need to stay focused and know that every pound I take off is that much better for my back and for my long term lifestyle. I want to be able to get out and play actively with my adorable grandson. I can't do that if my back is in bad shape. Keep doing what you are Doug. The planning and anticipating is everything at this point. I've been able to go out to eat and still do great other than one or two times. I am now starting to plan for an upcoming vacation! Major challenge but still very doable. I am focusing on losing 5% at a time and will plan a non food reward with each 5%. I'm close to my first 5% so I need to pick my reward soon! Keep up the good work!
