Day 65 - New Week, New Goals

Wow.
What a morning! Our contractor was coming over at 8:30 this morning to make the templates for the new bathroom countertops, and I wanted to make sure I got my workout done before he arrived, so I got up early, ate breakfast, and then did my strength training workout and showered before he arrived, right on time!
While he was working, I came down to the computer and was completely overwhelmed by all the emails telling me about comments on my blog post yesterday. Whoa, Nellie! I was not expecting that, and it filled my heart with gratitude. I just hope everyone knows how much I am moved and touched by all your thoughts and encouragement, and I'm glad that what I write means something to others. Most of the time, I'm writing to an audience of one: MYSELF! I need the reminders, support, and encouragement as much as anyone else does!
So today is the official start of a new week. I've already done my strength training, and will look for a new path for the afternoon walk with the dogs. I love walking with them, but I also need to remember that the walk is as much (if not more) for me, and I need to push myself in pacing, whole-body engagement, and posture so that I get what I need from the activity. That's my goal for today.
What do you do to spice up your activities? Do you push yourself a little harder every day, or do you just stick with the same routine? I encourage you to find a way to "crank it up to 11" - doing just a little bit more (or faster or heavier) to challenge your body to be better.
You can do it! And so can I. Happy Sparking!
