Day 68 - Sliding Into Home
Friday, February 06, 2015
We worked like crazy cleaning the house today so that it would sparkle for our realtor coming over tomorrow to sign the listing agreement. We still have to finish upstairs, but we have made a great start. The new bathroom counters were installed and they look great. I had to make a quick trip to Lowe's to buy another valve and connector hose because one of the old ones wouldn't quite reach the faucet. I've gotten pretty good at getting these angle-stop valves installed quickly and leak free!
I have new "revealing myself" photos to post, but want to put them together with the ones from December so that the change is a little more evident. I feel really good about the progress I've made and want to keep it going!
We're supposed to get about 1.5" of rain tomorrow. We need it bad, but I'm not looking forward to driving to the lake with a car full of stuff when it's pouring outside. We'll make it one way or another.
Here's my thought for today: you feel like you've been working like crazy, pushing yourself to the brink to get something done (a big project for work, or an extra-intense workout, or just getting the house clean). You really want to take a break and put your feet up, but there's just a little more to do to be 100% done. Can you keep the momentum going for that little bit more, just to see the finish line?
OF COURSE YOU CAN!
Make every day about the finish line.
