Day 5 of Small Changes: Take a Stand

Get up and move! This is one small change that I really need to make. I retired last spring, so have more time at home now. I do watch my grandson one day a week and substitute teach one or two days a week. On the days I'm home, I usually spend some time on the computer after breakfast and then walk on the treadmill. I then work on cleaning, laundry, or other chores. After lunch is my problem. I tend to sit in the recliner and play games on my computer, read, and in general just spend too much time sitting. I am determined that I will make it a new habit to move 5 minutes during every hour. The blog with this challenge discussed the health risks of too much time sitting, even if one spends quite a bit of time exercising, it is hard on their bodies to sit too much at one time.
