Romans 5:3
And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience.

How do you know when your truly hungry? Is it by the growl of your stomach that sounds like a ferocious beast or do you feel light-headed and nervous. Do you keep telling himself that you couldn't really be hungry; that it was just your imagination. But that gnawing hunger would just not abate itself. Before long you find yourself binging. As much as you want to lose weight, you just can't face that beast that seems to be growling in your midsection. After giving in to your over whelming desire to over eat. You find yourself disgusted, with yourself. Instead of punishing yourself try forgiving yourself. Try thinking if you really felt those hunger pains and why. Did you skip meals altogether, did you fail to plan for you meals? If so, identify the problem and come up with a plan to head it off next time. Know your triggers and warning signs. Then you will know how to control what and when to eat. A hard part of changing our eating pattern is showing our stomach who is boss. When our stomachs rule, we lose. Turn to the Lord when weakness sets in. Jesus will see us through.

Today's thought: I'm not letting my stomach push me around anymore!

TRIGGERS...are those pesky little things that can fire the shot that starts the battle of the binge if WE allow the gun in the house. No gun...no trigger. My biggest issue is the many saboteurs be it friend or foe (or me) that keep bringing the dirty little buggers in.
