Vanity, thy name is woman

Tuesday, March 03, 2015

This morning I took a deep breath and pulled on my new pants - and they fit! It was a minor miracle: no muffin top with pants one size smaller. I may have looked outwardly normal but in my mind I was preening like a pampered cat.

I'm 3 lbs from my original target of 135, and decided to move the goalposts a little further, to 130. It'll be a stretch, but I have 3 weeks before my next appointment, so I'll see how close I can get to that before I am given instructions on re-feeding. I've been warned that I'll probably gain a little weight when re-feeding, so overshooting my original target a bit seems like the wise thing to do.

YAY!! Good job, BEMUSED!! I didn't have any doubt that you were going to fit into those pants. In fact, I was a little worried they would be too loose, in which case you might have felt that you had wasted money. Pretty soon, you should go on a shopping spree and get more small-size clothes!

You DESERVE to be a little vain after all your hard work. I know I would be extremely excited! But as usual, you sound very rational and under control, spending just a short time preening in front of the mirror. And you WILL make it to 130! Enjoy what you see!
