NSV's (Non-Scale Victories), How I Love You So...

As I continue on my journey, I try to not become obsessed with the scale. I am sure a lot of people can relate to this. I have to remind myself that it is not all about what that darn scale says. I know I am losing inches because my clothes fit better and I feel smaller.
I have had some awesome NSV's in the last week that I have noticed.
When I first started going to the gym and was on the treadmill, with every arm swing back and forth, my hands would knock into the arm rails on each side. The left hand especially, so with each swing I would hear the "ting, ting, ting" of my wedding ring hitting the metal. When I was at the gym two days ago, I no longer heard that "ting." My midsection is shrinking, so I have more room at my sides. :)
I also noticed that when I am just walking normally, my arms no longer rub against my hips/waist. Normally they would touch with each arm swing, but now it's just air. :)
I can bend over frontwards easier and tying my shoes no longer gets me out of breath.
My husband said that my snoring has improved significantly. I have more energy and am sleeping better as well. My clothes are literally hanging on me and I will have to buy new clothes soon, and new bras (especially a new sports bra, as it is to loose).
These little changes get me so excited. They are reinforcement for me that all my hard work is paying off. They keep me going.
So remember, if that scale disappoints you, look at all the little NSV's that you have to be proud of! Here's to another day of finding the best me!
