Day 114 - New Beginnings
Tuesday, March 24, 2015
I start my new job tomorrow as the Program Manager for Lake County Habitat for Humanity. I am extremely excited to be starting this new chapter in my life. Our community has a lot of poverty, and this organization does so much good. I'm grateful to be a part of it.
The dogs and I are here for the week, while Steve continues to work for the flower shop in Fair Oaks for another couple weeks. I'll go back to Sacramento this weekend and next so that we can participate in the Palm Sunday and Easter events at our church. I've missed singing in the Praise Band, and look forward to being there the next two Sundays.
It's strange being up here without Steve with me, but we will talk on the phone 3 times a day, which helps a lot. He got a cold last week, and of course I would catch it right before starting my new job. The story of my life...
I opened a new checking and savings account at the local credit union this afternoon, and had a short hike up the hill and around the lake to get some good views. No sunset tonight, but still a great sight seeing the waves on the lake capture the colors from the sky. I even got the car washed this afternoon.
Now it's off to bed, so I can wake up ready to take a seat at my new desk in my new office!
Have a great night, Sparkers!
