Time to get serious again about my weight!

Well, I haven't blogged in months. Hi everyone!

It's been a stressful and busy year, opening the new bilingual school. But finally the first floor of the first module of the new building is finished... 8 rooms. And classes begun... we have one section of nursery (3-year olds), two secctions each of Pre-Kinder, Kinder and 1st grade... a total of 186 children.... We are really happy with our school.

But with all the stress and work, I gained back a lot of weight, and so its time to get back on track! I have been faithful to at least 10 minutes of exercise daily (most days more), but the eating (or should I say snacking!!) has been out of control.

So today I reset my weight ticker (something I hate to do!) , and plan to make a real effort to reach my goal weight this year!

I know that losing weight will also help my knees - I have a lot of pain walking right now. I'm trying prolotherapy in an effort to avoid knee replacement. I really don't want the surgery....

Hope all of you are well... I haven't been active on the site in a long time, except to log in and track my exercise. I am at 267 days on my "10 minutes or more of exercise a day" streak!

    I too gained back about 18 pounds over the past several months. Very discouraging. Finally examined carefully what I was eating and it was too many snacks. I was grabbing handfuls of nuts to the tune of 500-600 extra calories/day, among other things. I did a re-boot starting 2/23/15 and have lost 13 now, but it's a struggle everyday. Make a list of the things that WORK for you and read that list every morning, trying to do as many of those things as possible throughout your day!

    Hi Marge,

    Keep Pushing you can do it. My daughter too is working hard on physiotherapy and Yoga for seniors - more of chair exercises to avoid knee replacement surgery.

    Great news on the new school....May the Lord shower his blessings .

    Marge, glad you've come out of hiding. Your track record with exercise is super. Intentional eating when hungry & stopping when know longer hungry has helped me a lot. Some call it grazing.

    It has been a while since we heard from you. Yes, that snacking can really mess us up, but you can buckle down on the nutrition now. Glad to hear that the new section is doing well!
