So...I'm on my last leg of pregnancy! WOOHOO!!! Baby is due to arrive in 3 weeks and 1 day. Soooooo excited! I have never felt so bloated/large in my body...even at my heaviest of 266 pounds...and ahhhh the aches, pains, and ALL the other pregnancy inconveniences/disturbances...
but still soooooo excited...all worth it!!!
What I'm not so happy about...26 pounds gained so far. Don't get me wrong, I expected weight gain. I however REALLY slacked on what I was eating. The first 4 months I was eating fairly healthy...jogged up until 5 1/2 months pregnant...then stopped because it became too painful. Well these past 4 1/2 months, all I've wanted to eat is "sweet" stuff...and boy did I indulge! Sigh! I shoved stuff in my mouth that I normally really wouldn't even reach for...gummy candies, LOTS of chocolate, ice cream, LOTS of baked goods...the list goes on and on and on...
So I've decided to 'smarten' up before baby arrives. I don't want to get stuck in this eating pattern and allowing myself to continue to reach for these foods after baby arrives. I really want to be an example...afterall baby will learn to eat the way the parents eat. Baby WILL NOT struggle with weight the way I have my WHOLE life.
Goals:
- Track food daily until baby arrives (will miss a few days around when baby arrives...will allow myself a week or so and then start tracking again)
- Continue with exercise as tolerated until baby comes...focusing on strengthening exercises...and walking when able.
Can't wait for baby's arrival...but also can't wait to start feeling 'healthy' in my body once again.
