Count from 1 to infinity.

I faithfully counted calories until recently. Honestly, I got sick and d@mn tired of it - it seems neverending. Anyone else feel this way? If not, how do you stick to it?

I stayed super strict counting calories all last year. I lost weight really fast but...too fast. I have alot of excess skin. You dont need to reduce your calories by alot. Keep your metabolism up and eat just under your maintenance range. Eat every 3 to 4 hours and try to avoid processed high calorie sugary foods.
You will save yourself not only from excess skin and losing too fast but your body will stay full throughout the day and counting the calories won't be as irritating.
I'm still counting calories in maintenance but am slowly adding back calories to maintenance level so I don't gain like crazy. It will probably take 6months to a year to undo the damage I did.

Hope your week is going well!

Yeah, people get bored. We like excitement! It's in our nature. However, when we're trying to lose weight, it's good to count calories, because otherwise the body will be hungry for more than we need. It likes to stay the same! And it's so easy to go over what we need. I gained a good ten pounds after quitting counting calories. I wish I had stayed the course and kept at it, because I feel like I have wasted some time. I could be in my cute size 8 and size 10 clothes that I was wearing, but I'm back at size 14 it seems. I had to buy some new clothes. Seriously, you might want to think about counting the calories again! One thing that you might want to do is to develop routines, so that you don't have to track necessarily. You would be doing the same things, and measuring so that you don't eat too much. Whenever you want to check how you're doing, just put your foods in the tracker and see how the calories stack up. So, there's the regimental "I will track everything every single day," and the "I've got this covered, I know how many calories is in this and that I'm not overeating" approach. You have to decide what works for you. And please keep weighing! I really really wish I had stayed with the program and not messed up.
