I love crab. When I come home, it is what I crave. Today I took my mother to the market and we got an energetic large live dungeness crab, which I cooked for dinner, along with a couple of other dishes.
Later in the evening, two very good old friends picked me up for a bite out - and we had a yummy Malaysian chili crab dish. Now I know 2 dinners in one night may sound insane, but I really love dungeness crab, and I didn't eat anything else during the second dinner. I did my best to help, but we couldn't finish off the crab. By the end of the evening, I was slouched in my seat, disappointed that my belly had reached its limit and I couldn't put any more of the delicious crab in it.
A younger me could have done it, could have finished the crab. But this me either has diminished capacity, or is unwilling to abuse my digestive system, even for a yummy favorite. I guess this means the healthy lifestyle change is sinking in!
