Motivator of the Day??

Well, that was quite a surprise considering I haven't been active on Spark for...two months? I sometimes read blogs, but even that has fallen by the wayside, so I don't know why I was given the honor!
What have I been up to? Well, a lot it turns out!
We were gone all of May visiting family & friends in Michigan. When we got back, we decided to do something we have talked about for 15 years: spend a year traveling in Europe. You'll see it's on my Sparkpage. As you can imagine, the logistics are enormous. But we decided we had to either stop talking about it or pull the trigger and DO something about it. We are not getting any younger, you know.
So...we put our house up for sale and had multiple offers in four days!
The buyers actually overbid and are paying cash, so from listing to closing will be two weeks exactly. They want immediate possession so we have been SCRAMBLING to get everything we own into storage. We will close on Friday.
So what is our plan? This is what we have so far:
We will move into our travel trailer and our first stop will be South Dakota where they have very lenient residency laws. We need to renew drivers' licenses and license plates. Then we will travel the US until April 2016. At that point we plan to take a repositioning cruise to Spain. That's when the cruise lines move their ships from the Caribbean to the Mediterranean. The one we are looking at is 14 days and costs about $700. Doesn't that sound like an AWESOME way to start a vacation?
That's all I know for now, but we'll have lots of time to work on our itinerary once we are in our trailer!
I have not done well with my weight but I have big plans for getting back on track with my eating and more consistent exercise once we get into our trailer and things SETTLE DOWN.
So that's the deal from my corner of the Universe, Sparkpeeps! You only live once! This is NOT the dress rehearsal.
I leave you with this quote:
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do... Explore. Dream. Discover.”
