What a great Dad's Day!

We have a great family tradition to have the whole family join us at our place in the Sierras for Father's Day. We have a lovely home at about 4500 ft and it's just about a 2 1/2 hour drive from our real home in the flat lands of the South SF Bay. I We went on a great hike, had an awesome dinner of delicious spareribs, yummy potato salad, not fatty, not creamy cole slaw and baked beans. My daughter in law made a delicious red velvet birthday cake for my brother in law Roger. On Sunday AM we had make your own veggie scramble.
I learned a great new game called Ticket to Ride. It is railway based and very analytical www.daysofwonder.com/tic
I came in 2nd to last but I know I'll do much better now that I know all of the rules next time we play. One of the best things about our place is that we have no cable, no internet access and not so great cellphone coverage so we hike a lot, do jigsaw puzzles and play board games.
We had a great time. Check out my family picture that I just posted to my Sparkpage. In order, we are:
My son Greg, my middle grandson Tate, my DDIL Alexis, my younger son Jeff, my DDIL Kelly, my youngest grandson Emery, my DH, me, my oldest grandeson Knox, my nephew David and my dear BIL Roger. Our grand dog's name is Marleau after the San Jose Shark forward, Patrick Marleau. The family portrait is a new family tradition I insisted on this year so I had to show it off.
