Mea culpa

I admit, this nighttime snacking thing has me beat. I can't kick it - or at least, I don't have it in me to resist every night. So I've decided I might as well build the snacking into my planning. I'll carve out a calorie allotment and try to snack half-way responsibly. I'm not sure what I did tonight was in any way responsible, but the hub returns from his travels soon and maybe the return of routine will help as well.

    I'm not having any progress with no snack after dinner, either. I decided to just make sure I have the calories for it, and it will be yogurt, or something healthy. Such is life.

    Maybe you're snacking out of loneliness and the problem will resolve itself with your husband's return! Okay, maybe not.

    Whatever it is, your idea to snack consciously is so smart. I have a feeling that if you allow yourself to have these things, you might not want them so badly. Hey, I should adopt that policy, too. Maybe if I type "potato chips" into my tracker before I eat them, it might make me understand that I really don't want or need those at all. It'll work better than having my skinny twin sister (fraternal) say, "Carolyn, you don't need that" whenever in our childhood she saw me with something fattening in my hand. Her unsolicited advice was NEVER a deterrent, but hey Bemused, our own rational selves might knock us conscious!

    Good idea. I've used it with my chocolate. I'm going to eat it anyway, I may as well make it part of the food plan
