Happy 4th of July

Saturday, July 04, 2015

The day for freedom. Yet some of us are not free from the issues having to do with our weight. We all know the ideas society has about obese people. I refuse to say fat. Fat is almost derogatory. It leads to connotations like lazy. Or she must have no will power. If she did she wouldn't be so fat. Doctor's bring it up at every visit. They tell us what to eat or not eat. They tell us to get more exercise. They patronize us and treat us like second class citizens. People stare and laugh.

I say take back your freedom. Remember you were made in the image of God. I want everyone to know that God isn't finished with me yet! He has bigger plans for me! So on this July 4th I will take back my freedom! I refuse to be just another person with a weight issue. I will be free to take back my life and love myself again!

Have a safe and Happy Fourth of July!! emoticon emoticon

"Judging a person does not define who they are...it defines who you are." To me, that means all those cruel judgements are telling you which people to keep at a distance, or remove from your life completely (if possible).

and some people have no idea how cruel their remarks are. My BIL is one of those super skinny, 'eat whatever you want all the time' people. He's never had to deal with weight issues, so to him it should be easy for everybody.

have a safe, happy and ACTIVE 4th!
