Day 221 - A Little Help From My Friends

Wednesday, July 08, 2015

Thanks everyone for the great comments on my blog yesterday. It doesn't appear that anyone was offended or took my post too personally. That wasn't my intention, although it sounds like some comments from people indicate that there are technical challenges to getting photos posted on SP.

If you haven't already read this, here's a Frequently Asked Question (FAQ) and answer on how to add photos to your gallery:

SP can't always give specific help in the FAQs because there are so many technologies (phones, tablets, laptops, desktop computers, PCs, Macs, digital cameras, scanners, etc.) that it is hard to give one answer that will perfectly help everyone. But it's a start.

Once your photos are added to your gallery, here's how you can select on as your profile picture:

You can also join the Site/Technical Help message board and post a question that will be answered by one of the experts. They want you to review the Help section first to make sure you're not asking a question that is really part of the FAQs. Here's the link to that Message Board:

If you are really technically challenged and don't feel like you can get the answers you need elsewhere, send me a private message and I will try to help you. Be sure to include this information: the type of computer (or device) that you use to access SparkPeople, what device you have that takes digital photos (your phone, digital camera, tablet, etc.), whether you use the SP website or an app on your device, and as much information as you can to help me help you.

I truly believe that posting a photo of yourself on the site is one of those magical things that really helps you achieve your goals. If you're not afraid to be seen, I encourage you to take the chance. It is a motivator, and as you post new photos, you can really see your progress.

Go for it!
