Day 224 - Saturday Saturation

Thank goodness for smart phones with wi-fi hotspot capability! I'm posting this on my laptop using the phone as the wireless internet provider, because my folks do not yet have their Internet or phone hooked up!

Needless to say, this has been an exhausting day. I'm sure I burned nearly as many calories helping with the move as I consumed, and then some. But my parents are now settling into their new apartment, and our dinner down in the dining room was absolutely delightful. The other residents are very nice, and many people stopped by our table to say hello. I think my folks will like it here very much.

My sister Janet and brother-in-law, their two kids Megan and Matt, and their friends Dennis & Peggy and Bob & Janie were all tremendously helpful in getting everything moved in. The two couples that are friends with Janet and John had stayed at our house in Clearlake, and they were eager to meet me. We all got along great, and the move went very smoothly!

Tomorrow I will figure out what to do with the TV, and we need to solve the problem with the cable provider. They are supposed to get Basic cable (Comcast) included with their rent, but they may need to get an adapter box before it will work. They will have to adjust to not having a DVR like they did with Dish Network (whey they admit that they got hooked on), or they will have to add to their basic cable to get a DVR from Comcast to get the same functionality.

It's time for bed, so I won't write any more now, but just know that all of you provide support and friendship even when I'm not online. I think about how each of you would be handling this situation, and that keeps me going! You are all awesome, and I'm so glad that you are in my life, even if just virtual!
