Day 228 - Small World

Short post tonight - it's late and time for bed...
I went up to one of our clients (veteran's home repair) today with our architect. The client's deck is poorly built and starting to deteriorate. The architect was giving his assessment for what needed to be done.
The architect is an interesting guy. He comes across like an old hippie, but we had a great conversation. We enjoyed getting to know each other, and I felt very comfortable talking to him.
On the drive back, we were talking about the moon landing back in 1969. I mentioned that I was 12 that summer, and he said he was too. I asked him when his birthday was, and he told me. He was born on March 6, 1957, the same day as Steve! One of those great coincidences that makes you go, "Hmmmmmm!"
One of my construction guys is coming up with an estimate to repair the client's deck, but it looks like it will involved almost a complete replacement for at least part of the deck. Not fun, but after the tragedy in Berkeley a couple weeks ago, we don't want to take any chances.
I'm glad that this week is heading downward. Steve is off tomorrow, then has to work the evening shift (1pm - 10:30pm) both Friday and Saturday. It will be an adjustment to be home in the evening after work and not have him around. I'm sure I'll find something to do!
Have a great night, friends!
