Overdid it. But at least i did it.

Saturday, July 25, 2015

Found a walking buddy in my neighborhood finally and we went out today for the first time. She didn't mind slowing down a bit to match my starting over pace, but we walked for just over an hour. (Plus 10 min each way for me to get to her house) I feel like I might never be able to stand up again. Holy hurting everywhere.

I'll be honest though, it is just the aches and pains of slightly overdoing it, nothing serious or anything. I just feel like I could curl up in my covers and sleep for a week now.

She's not available to go out again till Tuesday, so that gives me a few days to recoup. I really need to get out Sun and mon and do a light stroll on my own to keep up some momentum and then long walk on Tuesday again.

Send me some positive vibes to help get my hind quarters out of the house tomorrow to keep it up.

Great work! When I am sore a little walk seems to help with the stiffness. Maybe take a shorter walk on days your walking buddy can't go. Some times when I don't feel like walking alone I tell myself to just do the shorter distance, but once I am out there I usually find my motivation. First step is the hardest some days!

Hopefully you can get out tomorrow or Monday for a little walk without your "buddy." SOmetimes walking alone is a good time to get your head clear of constant thoughts, etc. No excuses, okay?

Yes, yes, yes, you can do it! I wish I had a walking buddy besides the girls (4 legged). It gets too warm for them on pavement. Personally, I enjoy the aches and pains that come from exercising. Makes me feel like I've accomplished something and it reminds me every time I go owww......... --Pam
