'Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.'
Sometimes we feel let down, when everyone on our team seems to be losing weight at a faster pace than we are. We tend to think that we are not doing our best or everything we need to do to get the same results. When in fact we are working just as hard as they are.
It just feels like a no-win situation. But, what if we took a step back and just took a look at our accomplishments that we have already done. Would we still feel lousy? Or should we just give in to feeling defeated and start binging. After all we gave it our best shot right.
No, this is when we need to turn to God in prayer and to our friends on Spark People for support. If we, broke down on our diet every time we felt guilty, upset or depressed when things wasn't going out way, we would never have made it this far. Blogging and tracking our food, talking about how hard it is to tell someone which was worse, the hunger or the guilt. We just want to trim down and we are ready to do it the right way and not let the scale rule us.
We never knew that we were so tough, that we could make it through so much turmoil just trying to lose weight. Diets can really stir us up. They make us feel physically and emotionally strained. During periods of dieting, we need to find peace of mind and heart. Ask God for that peace. He promises to deliver it to those who ask Him for it. When we need it most, God gladly gives it. We can do this, we can be strong and accomplish our dreams.
Today's thought: Better to have peace of mind than a piece of cake!
