I start the Advocare 10 Day Cleanse today. I hesitate to call it a "cleanse" because it isn't. I don't know what else to call it, so I am going to stick with that. Basically, for 10 days, I eat a diet of whole foods. I omit things like sugar, refined grains, fried foods, alcohol (bummer), and so on. You know, all of the "bad" stuff. There are a few "supplements" to take, but again, I hesitate to call them "supplements" because it is really nothing more than some probiotics and fiber (which my body needs anyway) I do it about every 3 months and it just helps me get focused.
I am still continuing with my training 5 days a week. It has taken a while, but I am really starting to see the results of all of my hard work. The numbers going up on the scale aren't exactly exciting me, but I realize I can't be "stacked" and a size 0. Especially of those size 0's aren't "relaxed thru the hip and thigh" Some of my clothes are starting to get tight in the arms and loose in the middle. My jeans and pants are getting too tight in the legs and loose around the waist. I am having to buy a size or two bigger to get them up over my legs... it is frustrating some times though... and of course, the jeans I have found that fit great are $100+ a pair. *sigh*
I've been spinning anywhere from 2-5 days a week depending on my schedule and I do boot camp 3 days a week. I have been uppping my weights slowly in order to get some more upper body strength. My legs are powerful, but I still struggle with my upper body. I am slowly getting there. I realize that fitness is a lifelong thing and the results I want are not achieved overnight. I struggle sometimes between wanting to look like a "heroine addicted model" and a "man in a dress" It is difficult to find a happy medium sometimes.
Some days it is a struggle... I am tired or feeling lazy... but 99% of the time, I just do it. In the end, the results are worth more than staying in bed an extra half hour.
