Terrible news!

I was at the hospital today being prepped for surgery when the nurse doing it noted that pre-surgery labs last week showed an infection. No one told me. I am just starting the antibiotics now.

Dr said he will do his best to make it just 2-3 weeks.

I need to sleep at night pain free. Hope he has a cancellation soonest.

    Oh Sheesh! And they couldn't have let you know and prescribed the antibiotic sooner?!?!?! I know those folk are busy and maybe it was only a short time from when they knew till you did, but still. Keeping you in my prayers no matter what! (((HUGS)))

    Well we must look on the positive side and be thankful they found the infection before the surgery began. That may just have been worse. Try to just relax and wait patiently. You know it will all work out in the end. Hang in there hon and stay positive. I will keep you in prayer.

    I'll have a word or two with one of my favorite saints who helps us heal - St Martin de Porres - he takes care of me and my pets too! I can really sympathize - I was already prepped for my hip replacement and on the gurney when my doctor said he heard I had a horsefly bite. I had had it treated at the local ER several days past but - he sent me home. Hope you don't have to wait long - I just got mad at myself and anyone near me (totally irrational) but it was that or cry - my sister says she'd rather I just cry - but - that's me!
