Back in the saddle again

Tuesday, August 18, 2015

The new laptop is almost finished setting up - copied my files over, installed all the needed programs except for one over the weekend. Survived crazy day 1 of what will be a hectic work week. Am getting used to not having the college kid at home again. Now if I can just stay away from those darned goldfish crackers!

Gold fish crackers are an old favorite of mine, also. Goes back to when the kids were little and I carried tupperware containers of them for the grocery store, etc. Love the visual from Buttonpopper1. Now I will picture little fishies swimming down my throat if I am tempted. Thanks, Carolyn!

I had a pita cracker moment. Instead on telling myself "no" I entered them into my food log to see if it would put me over. Then counted out my serving size, then allowed myself to have it. Something about logging it first really made me hyper aware of the fact that I could only have what I took. I didn't feel deprived and didn't have a desire to eat more. Maybe doing that would help you too? I'm glad you found a new lap top! :)

I'm so glad to hear that you had a good day. It's great that your computer situation is almost back to normal, you're adjusting to your son's departure for the dorm, and you survived the first day of your hectic week! Yay! Just think of the goldfish as real goldfish, which you would never want to swallow. There--doesn't that take away your appetite?
