Beautiful Landscaping

Sunday, June 10, 2007

I have been looking around my neighborhood and found some wonderfully landscaped houses. I am not very good with my green thumb, let alone the planning of it all, but I will grab my camera and go out there to take pictures of what I would love my landscaping to look like. There are amazing things you can do. Right now, I have a lot of bushy flowers (cornflowers, catnip, Peonies) right in front of my house, and I really would love to have everything look more neat and organized. I bought black mulch yesterday, and a new lawnmower and I will be attacking my outdoors today to get some sort of look going. I am very excited about it, because just mulching gives everything such a clean look. I put some mulch in my round geranium bed yesterday, and it looks pretty professional.
Plus I lost another few pounds over the weekend with my constant moving around outdoors, and that really made me happy!

I spent my weekend outdoors too. I put in a veggie garden & dug the spot for a butterfly garden. Let me tell, though I know you didn't ask, the best rule for having the house your neighbors envy & take pictures of. It's worked for me in the last four homes (we're military so we move a lot). Anyway. Plant things you love! My gardens all start out with the house had when I got here, and I add as I find something else I think is interesting & affordable. If that is way to vague take a soil sample and your snapshots to a local nursery and ask for help, but I find any garden looks great if you stay in it. Not because it needs maintance, but because you want to be around beauty you created. I always meet my new neighbors while wrist deep in dirt as they stop to chat about my garden be it evergreen, flower or just mulch and statues. If you love it you'll stay in it & it will be a treasure. Best of Luck on your treasure-Ginger

Hey--If I give you my address will you do my yard (HAHAHAHA) I have NO patience for landscaping and yard work. My yard is very sandy and we can't keep anything alive in that yard (except the weeds)

    Good Luck with your yard.!!
