I think my brain is broken

How else to explain why I make the same mistakes over and over and over....

How else to explain why I didn't get started on work "homework" until 9 pm tonight and probably won't get to bed until about 3 am? Wouldn't a healthy brain have started earlier this weekend? At this age, shouldn't I have learned not to be such a procrastinator?

And how else to explain why I just inhaled a bag of goldfish crackers? Gaaaaa. I did well during the week and just fell apart today. I could blame it on work-related stress, but I think my brain must be a little bit broken.

We all stumble from time to time- hang in there. One bad day does not define you. Your brain is fine emoticon

So sorry to hear that you're unhappy with yourself, my dear Bemused. If you ask me, I think you are being overworked. I wish I could go over there and give your superiors (you yourself are not the superior, I assume) a piece of my mind! Why are you having to work so much at home? That does not make for a healthy, productive employee! And I know how hard it is to support daughters in high school. I did that for a long time and often went to bed at 3, having helped them and then done my own stuff after that. It was enough to make me want to guzzle not just a bottle of beer, but one of whiskey as well!! (But I don't like the hard stuff, so I didn't do that, just WANTED to for the anesthetic effect.)

It's no wonder you're reaching for the goldfish crackers. Your brain is not broken! And it's not related to age! You're just under a lot of stress. I wish I could help! Let me just say that I hope you don't blame yourself too much for the disappearance of those goldfish! Tomorrow will be a better day!
