It's contagious

The hub has lost over 15 lbs since *I* started *my* weight loss adventure, and he's tickled pink. I've changed our diet in the last 10 months so he is also eating more veggies, more lean meat, less starch. He's also much more active than I am, which makes a big difference. And I think he weighs less than he did when we got married two decades ago - isn't that ridiculous? I'd need to donate an organ, or probably a limb, in order to get down to my wedding weight.

It's funny that the hub is the one preaching about healthy diet and exercise while I try not to bring it up. And I do mean "preach" because if someone makes a remark about my weight loss within his hearing, he'll jump right in to describe his weight loss and then give advice on what to eat. Very. Detailed. Advice. Of course he means to be helpful and he has a charming accent (I may be biased) which makes it hard for others to take offense. But yes, he does "preach" a lot while I try to stay out of trouble!

Very cute. I remember how you wrote a few weeks back about him promoting to his visiting family your new snack of choice--Fiber One human food pellets (have I got the cereal name right?) The image of his passionate preaching really makes me smile. You both seem very happy.

That's hilarious, Hubby on a soapbox! Love it. At least he is talking about himself. Mine will sometimes go on about how I eat, exercise, etc. Can make me uncomfortable, it's really my deal, not to be public conversation. He's proud of me, I get that, but geez....

Well, at least you've kinda accomplished it together... You cooked the veggies and he ate the veggies. emoticon emoticon

Sounds like he needs some positive kuddos on his weight loss since you are also getting them. That is cute. Hope it does't wear too thin on his listeners. emoticon
