Day 47
1.6 Miles / 2.57 Kilometers
Shorter route due to being alone ⊗ 33 minutes 189 calories burned

Today before supper, blood glucose 147!!!!! I went through the records I took to the doctor and I had none that low since 4/6/15 when she gave a book to me to record by blood glucose readings in it.

I have been very tired and stayed up last night to go through the newspaper ads hubby wanted me to go through so they could go out in the paper recycling picked up this morning. He had to follow his brother to a garage this morning so his brother could get his truck repaired. I slept. Hubby was in and out of the house, I slept.

I started to eat a meal when I remembered to check my glucose. I am sure glad the old brain kicked in to cause me to remember, otherwise, I might have missed this wonderful surprise. Sometimes in my brain, I think the wheel is spinning, but the hamster is died.

I did find I made a mistake today. I ate salsa. When I logged it, there was 1 gram of sugar in it. I ate just one serving of it, but no sugar is allowed. I never thought I would be off sugar, but I am, and guess what? I am not tempted by any of the junk food here in the kitchen-ice cream, cookies, potato salad, canned soups, crackers, puddings. Even the fruit I liked so well, bananas, are not tempting me.

h?v=dSLf4bzAyOM This is the video (Dr. Westman) that helped me to understand and I joined Reversing Diabetes group on Facebook to get support as I make dietary changes. I think the blood glucose reading attests that it is working.

One thing though, they said on the group page, that if you eat sugar, it can take 2-3 days for your body to readjust. Last night while I was in the group, a doctor requested to join since he believes this is the right way to treat diabetes.

I am so happy that I won't have to listen to lectures about how I am not controlling my glucose. It is what is in the foods we eat that make a difference and how we pair them up with fats and proteins in our diet. I think the records I have kept prove that.

If you want to see someone that used this method and how it changed him, watch this video:

To my friend here at Spark People that wrote on my blog, "Lord, help me please in Jesus Name I ask," you were God sent and are a Godsend! ((((((DAISYBELLEKIA))))))

Hubby is anxious to go walking, it has been rainy here today and rain is in the forecast for many days, I will post my exercise when we get home. Hubby is watching Motor Week on TV so I will finish my bullet-proof coffee before we head out.

Fantastic!! Yes! You can cure yourself with FOOD! Yes, butter is good for you it has no trans fats. I used to use sugar and milk in my tea but realized that meant I was really eating way too much sugar. I now drink my tea plain and enjoy it just as much. That probably cut 7-10 teaspoons of sugar daily out of my diet! Look for the little changes that make a BIG difference. emoticon
