Turning the corner

I woke up being able to breathe this morning, so I think I am finally getting better. I guess sleeping 12 hours helped!

My in-laws are the easiest people to please. I made my MIL a small veggie omelette, and put it in a Kaiser roll with some sliced cheese and she thanked me for a delicious lunch. I made my FIL some kimchi ramen with a poached egg and he couldn't have been more appreciative. I'm not much of a cook but my in-laws are so gracious that they make me feel like a capable homemaker!

Tonight I am making an early dinner of grilled chicken, stir-fried veggies, and fried rice. We'll watch the kid's soccer game afterward. It's about 10C, rainy and blustery. I'm hoping the weather calms down before the game or else our recovery from our colds will be brief!

Whew! Glad you're finally on the mend. Your descriptions of the food at your house always sound really good to me. For someone who calls herself "not much of a cook," you sound very capable to me, and good at using what's on hand to whip up something tasty. This is a real talent, whether you think so or not, Bemused!

Seems like it's raining all over the world! About 80% of my SparkFriends are talking about heavy rain, with one of them even calling herself a "drowned kitty" just from walking from the supermarket out to her car. From western Canada to the Southeastern USA, seems like all my SP friends are being rained on! Take care!
