Possitive Things are Happening

I am really happy that we have a new working Wii. We had one before, but it stopped reading disks. When we had the old one, I wanted to try out the Wii Fit game, but I was really intimidated. I had heard a lot of complaints that it was really difficult, and I am really out of shape, and self conscious. After it broke, I was disappointed that I had never even tried it. Now that we have a new one, I asked my boyfriend, Bryan, and my oldest son, Vito, to help me set it up last night. Originally, I planned to make my character, and do my body test when everyone was gone, but I decided to quit being a baby, and instead I asked the guys to make a character, and try it out with me. They were surprised, and happy to join. Although it did tell me that I am very overweight, and my BMI is too high, when I did the body test again this morning, I got a Wii age of 28! I am finding that I really enjoy learning the yoga poses. I like the easy explanations, and demonstrations, and I really feel my body stretching. I still plan to keep using my Leslie Sansone Dvd, and my 10 minute solutions toning dvd. I am also anxiously awaiting a new weighted hula hoop and hoop fitness DVD that I ordered from amazon. I had a hoop a couple years ago, and beginner hoop dance dvd that I was just getting into, but it was lost in a house fire. At first I couldn't even keep the hoop up, but just before the fire, I was able to keep it up, bump it up to my chest, and even take a few steps while hooping. I am looking forward to trying again, and hopefully getting better. I know I was slacking off there for a while, when things got really busy around here, but I am not giving up that easily. I never planned on being perfect, and I know I just need to keep trying. Adding all these fun ways to exercise is helping to keep me motivated. Also, my boyfriend is starting to be really supportive, and encouraging me when I do a good job. It makes me feel like the luckiest girl in the world. :)

That's what I'm hoping. I lost 10 lbs over the summer just by having fun with my kids, fishing and swimming. I want to keep having fun, and feeling better. The bonus will be, if I lose the weight, and get good at hoop dancing, I know my boyfriend will like watching me exercise. ;)
