Recap my Shooting Star Experience

I have been with the Shooting Stars for two weeks now, and the 5 % Challenge is in full swing. Let me share some thoughts with you on that experience.....

- knowing that my workout minutes count for the team has me trying so much harder than ever before. I actually don't mind walking in place for 2 minutes and getting my heart rate up. Because every minute counts. EVERY SINGLE ONE. What did I learn? Nike.... just do it..... :)

- the whole team sticks together, everyone is nice, supportive, attentive and approachable. It does make all the difference for me. I am not usually a team person, but me thinks I might not have looked at teams the right way. Maybe I just never felt like I had anything to offer. But I do now. I can encourage, participate and it might make a difference for someone else.

- tracking my food (second week challenge) is still the best thing I have learned here on Sparkpeople. I take pride in the fact, I can now look at my nutrition report and see improvement. I find that I am not really hungry a lot of times, just bored. And if I pre plan my meals and snacks and already put them in the tracker, I have absolutely no intention on going off course. I even went out and had Pizza and still lost weight.

So all in all, I am feeling great, I am feeling encouraged, I am learning new strengths I never knew I had, and I am feeling hopeful that this can become a lifestyle. And a great lifestyle it is.
