Wow- Forty days streak. I have a new habit. I have my morning coffee, and log into SparkPeople, do my food plan, and check my daily calendar. Then I take a shower, have breakfast, and start my day.
I started other challenges and have joined some new teams. Everyone is awesome. I created a new Google calendar and put in my weekly goal weight. Just thinking about the weight loss 7 days at a time helps me keep my perspective. I can't be behind I just start where I am. I can tell you that if I don't meet my goal, why I didn't. I made a choice, that didn't align with my goal. This isn't a bad thing, because life happens. But I can make the adjustment easily on my Google calendar.
I also signed up for additional support with Spark Coach. Considering what I was spending on cigarettes, it wasn't expensive at all. I have gained great knowledge and information from that. For anyone having a tough time sticking to it , I would highly recommend it.
My goal for October was to QUIT SMOKING! I am now on day 4. I couldn't have gotten this far without the support of Sparkspeople. The lessons I learned in my FIRST challege was to build habits, and that takes time. Having the success of September weight loss and lifestyle changes gave me the tools to start a QUIT SMOKING program. I have tried to Quit Smoking before, but this is the first time I feel like it is a gift and not a punishment. So I will continue to post my daily NOPE. Not One Puff Ever! And take it one day at a time.
