Day 320 - The Off-Site Day

Friday, October 16, 2015

I worked all day at our "outreach facility" in Williams, California. Without all the interruptions and distractions, I got a ton of work done, and felt good about it. It was even worth the nearly 60-minute drive each way, just to have the ability to be productive and feel accomplished at the end of the day.

My operations specialist Paula was even relaxed, and it was great to see that she has some excellent student workers to help her out at the counter, so she can get her own work done.

We had a nice visit this evening with a friend who stopped by to view the construction. She was as excited as we were about the changes. Steve was off today, and he took down some of the kitchen cabinets and drywall to prepare for one wall to get relocated. There is some stuff (wiring and conduit) that will need some investigation before any more changes happen, but Danny will have less to do, so he can focus on the big tasks ahead. It's ALL good.

Tomorrow will be a great day at work, because every day this week has been awesome, and then I go get my hair cut at 5pm. Saturday morning I'll head to Sacramento to visit with my folks while Steve stays home to work with Danny on another weekend of construction.

This has truly been an amazing week! I could not be happier!

Keep Sparking, friends, and thank you, as always, for your love and support. I truly would not be where I am today without you. I mean that from the bottom of my heart.

Your enthusiasm is contagious, I wish I could bottle it and take a dose when I need it. Sounds like you have had a productive and good week. I hope the weekend is just as great! Sounds like the home repairs are advancing nicely. I am afraid when I start the kitchen remodel at my house, it will be one of those that HGTV shows with one disaster after another! We shall see. Enjoy the weekend with your folks!

I cannot wait to see the final product! Glad youy wil relax at the homestead and see your parents.

Demolition ahead of time really helps things go faster and I imagine Steve really does feel good about doing all of that work too!

Just knowing what it will look like later is exciting!

I am so glad your trip went well, that the construction seems to be going along at awesome speed, with no bumps so far, and that you will be visiting your folks, who are probably excited to have you come.

Have a great weekend, Steve. I'm happy for you that you had such a good week.

    Spark on.

How awesome to feel so fulfilled with this new job...a far cry from before with a boss who was "out there"!!! And then to have everything else in a good place, too...Jackpot! I know you must be getting excited with the house! Is the idea of the wall removal, or relocation, to make the kitchen bigger?
Have a Fabulous Friday and Hope you have a good and safe trip to visit the parents!
