Day 320 - The Off-Site Day
Friday, October 16, 2015
I worked all day at our "outreach facility" in Williams, California. Without all the interruptions and distractions, I got a ton of work done, and felt good about it. It was even worth the nearly 60-minute drive each way, just to have the ability to be productive and feel accomplished at the end of the day.
My operations specialist Paula was even relaxed, and it was great to see that she has some excellent student workers to help her out at the counter, so she can get her own work done.
We had a nice visit this evening with a friend who stopped by to view the construction. She was as excited as we were about the changes. Steve was off today, and he took down some of the kitchen cabinets and drywall to prepare for one wall to get relocated. There is some stuff (wiring and conduit) that will need some investigation before any more changes happen, but Danny will have less to do, so he can focus on the big tasks ahead. It's ALL good.
Tomorrow will be a great day at work, because every day this week has been awesome, and then I go get my hair cut at 5pm. Saturday morning I'll head to Sacramento to visit with my folks while Steve stays home to work with Danny on another weekend of construction.
This has truly been an amazing week! I could not be happier!
Keep Sparking, friends, and thank you, as always, for your love and support. I truly would not be where I am today without you. I mean that from the bottom of my heart.
