Day 323 - Late Night Gratitude

Monday, October 19, 2015

A quick post to share what I'm grateful for today. I had plans to write a longer blog, but the daughter of our neighbors, Noranne, as well as Noranne's daughter and cousin, are spending the night with us. The came over just as I was getting started, and we got lost in conversation until it was bedtime. So here it is, briefly:

I got to see many friends at our church in Sacramento this morning. It was great to see everyone, and of course, I got lots of compliments on my weight loss and how good I looked.

The weekend with my parents was terrific. They are so happy in their new place, and my mom is transforming before my eyes. Her smile and laughter are all I need to know that they are going to be all right.

Noranne told us that her pancreatic cancer markers had dropped from 2200 to 100 since her last round of chemo (normal is 34). That was the most amazing news ever! I was so glad she felt comfortable enough to come downstairs after her shower without her wig on.

The house transformation continues on. The wall is now gone between the dining room and sunroom. It looks amazing. Now we have to figure out the pantry wall, which is now not long enough for the furniture piece that held the media components and DVDs. I'm grateful we have time to figure it out!

It has been an amazing weekend, and I'm so full of joy for all the interactions with SparkFriends both old and new.

Keep Sparking, everyone!

So happy to hear your parents are happy in their new place. Just knowing that they are comfortable and happy our minds go to peace. My parents live in Toronto and they have alot of health issues. It is hard to be away from them. But when I see my mom with her smiley face my heart gets to rest.

You deserve all the great compliments from all your great hard work.

    Love, Maria emoticon

Can the furniture piece be a kind of 'room divider'? As for the rest, great news about your folks, you deserve the praise from friends you saw, and Noranne's news is the best of all. I am so glad you had a good weekend! Spark on, my friend.
