Day 325 - Put a Little Spring in your Step

You know when you're feeling really good, you have a little bounce in your walk? I watched one of our pastor's daughters at the end of worship on Sunday, and she was bouncing so much that her hair was swinging back and forth like a carnival ride! She just turned 16, and is one of the happiest people I've ever met.
How about putting a little spring in your step even if you're not feeling 100%? You know what happens? You start to feel better! It's hard not to feel great when you're bouncing to the beat of your own drum, jamming to the music in your soul.
One of my recurring themes in blogs is positive thinking, because I'm a HUGE believer that there's immense power in it. I can't take credit for the expression (thanks, Dr. Peale), but I certainly can echo the sentiment!
In addition to positive thinking, there's also positive behavior. Smiling, laughing, walking with purpose (and bounce!), hugging a friend are all perfect examples of behaving positively. Sometimes it takes a bit of effort, but you know what? The effort is worth the result, and the result is worth the effort.
I think that's the Spark in SparkPeople - that positive energy, thinking, and behavior that encourages good for ourselves, for each other, and for the community, I get so much of it from each of you, that I can't help but want to give it back.
