A new challenge....

Wednesday, October 21, 2015

I am doing this "challenge" for ten days called "The Break Changer". It is supposed to allow us to relish the time we are in, TODAY, the great people we are, and to spend time on now, and what we have accomplished. I am on Day 3. I am supposed to "take a little break from my demands, and bask in what's in front of me". They say to "Celebrate how far you've come. Ignore where you're trying to go...for just a few minutes".

Here are the basic steps for today and what I thought of them:

1. Simply reflect, daydream, drop to the ground and pause (two of the previous challenges), and think.
How often to we allow ourselves to take a few minutes just to reflect and think...not enough!

2. Write it out! I am, right here! Have I grown?
I have to go back to May of 2015. Since then, I have grown emotionally in a huge way. I have also shrunk...up to 99 pounds today. I am SO proud of where I am today. There's more, but maybe you should try this?

3. Talk to someone.
I did that this morning. One of my dearest friends called, and we were on the phone, as usual for more than a half hour. He has the ability to make me feel spectacular.

4. Start a life resume.
That I will think on, and work on. I am writing a book, so that is kind of a life resume, I think.

5. Make a celebration collage.
My whole house is my celebration collage...

Use this statement and fill-in-the-blanks (mine are IN CAPS):
"I've started to BLOSSOM. I've learned to FORGIVE (ESPECIALLY ME!). It's all about HAPPINESS. I've begun to love LIFE. I no longer seek FOOD TO MASK OBSTACLES."

Let's celebrate our strength, together.

I recommend this for anyone who is focused so much on the future, that they forget about how special today is.
