Sunday Sparkpoetry -- 100 lbs. down

I have lost 100 pounds, and I'm really filled with glee
I was thinking and wondering, how exactly could that be
I carried those pounds around and just could not see
How much that extra weight was really burdening me

Think of how heavy it is to carry a ten pound sack
Now multiply that by ten, and that was on my back
So, it is pretty darned awesome to suddenly feel that lack
and I don't ever want to have a wicked celebration snack

What does 100 pounds mean in this day and age
Stack 75 heavy books up, page by page
2-50 pound chimps in the zoo, on their stage
300 baseballs, from the Mets batting cage

Oh I could go on with this, should I really dare
Combine an oak table, and at least one oak chair
A stack of car tires, probably four, and the spare
500 pairs of sunglasses to hide the sun's glare

A hundred pairs of tap shoes, to dance with some flair
A newborn bear cub, just straight from it's lair
A huge box of tools, used only for repair
Two hundred corn dogs just bought at the fair

My trackers in Spark have made this quite clear
That I made the changes, to make my life dear
This has really been a most magnificent year
And I thank all you Sparkfriends for being in my sphere

So, my life is so awesome, I really got this one
Every day for me now is just a whole lot of fun
I will always track and exercise, and I am still not quite done
But, I'm really thrilled to have lost one twentieth of a ton
