The amazing Deck of Cards Workout
Wednesday, October 28, 2015
One of the Motivational Spark Articles talked about a Deck of Cards Workout. Designed to make the ones amongst us who really don't feel like doing their strength training actually love it. You take a simple deck of cards, and then assign exercises to the suits. Mix the cards up well, peek at the time (if you are tracking workout minutes) and then GO. The number on the card determines how many repetitions you are doing. I assigned 1 to the Ace, and 10 to Jack, Queen and King. I don't use the Joker. He creeps me out.
My workout for today:

Wall Pushups

Leg Raises

Arm Raises

Squats
I am halfway through the deck, and it took me 10 minutes to do. I feel wonderful, and in control and oh my, it is so much fun. Kinda like playing twister without having to deal with people you don't want to be pretzeled up with. Hope this paints a picture and encourages others to try it. I will make a few different workout plans and just stick them to my fridge, so I can get the whole body worked throughout the week. The possibilities are endless! I can even incorporate light weights for the arms when I am getting stronger, and rubber bands for the leg work. I am indeed having way too much fun here.
