Day 335 - Off-site but On-target
Friday, October 30, 2015
We had all-day meetings in Williams at our Colusa County Campus today, starting at 9am. Great conversation on the drive down (and the way home) with my boss. We are both discovering that there is value in both of us attending these meetings because of the 2 hours of time we can spend, uninterrupted, on discussions about situations on campus. It's fantastic.
We had a catered lunch today, and I was sure that I broke all the rules for eating today, but when I got home and carefully entered every bite I had eaten, I was still within the guidelines for the day! I have REALLY learned what it takes to be food-conscious through this program!!!!
It was good to get home this evening, around 6:30, and celebrate the start of the weekend. Steve has to work tomorrow from 7am to 4pm, but we are having a bunch of friends over for dinner tomorrow evening (and I don't have to cook!) and just hang out and relax.
I took Stella out this evening, and it is still very warm (around 72F) at 8:30pm local time. Can you believe that it is almost November???? Not with this weather! It is supposed to cool off next week, with maybe some rain. I HOPE!
Sunday is my regular gratitude blog day, but it is also November 1, and I've decided that all my posts for the month will be about gratitude. I'm already starting the list! I hope you have a lot to be grateful for! I know I do...
Keep Sparking, friends, and Happy Halloween! Just one more day to October. I hope you met your goals for the month!
