Day 367 - December

Happy December First! It's hard to believe that the end of the year is just 30 days away...
An update on me: I've done mostly ok with my food tracking, but with long hours at work and the lack of a kitchen, I'm not sure that I've been the most healthy I could be. I haven't weighed myself in 3 weeks, but will have a weigh-in on Thursday. It's time to be accountable again. Based on my clothes fitting and how I feel, I don't think there's a problem, but I'm still cognizant of the potential for a weight gain.
My biggest challenge right now is sleep. I'm having trouble falling asleep before 11pm, and Stella is waking me up at 4:45am. That means that my rest is not restful, and that is causing some problems at work. I have a hard time focusing when I'm at the office, and even trying to write a blog post in the evening can be a challenge when I can't even keep my eyes open!
There are political problems at work that are causing problems for my boss, and are filtering down to me. They don't affect me directly, but because they have an impact on Annette, of course I'm concerned. I'm trying to help her as much as I can, but that has been a big contributor to my sleep issues. It just means that I really have to take advantage of my holiday break from 12/24 through New Year's! I will be so grateful to be able to turn off the alarm clock for a week! I may not be able to turn off Stella, but at least I can feed her and then bring her back to bed if I feel that I need a few more winks.
I do still love my job, and that makes me incredibly happy. To have a great job and a great home to come to at the end of the work day is just awesome.
