Day 373 - Revealing Myself, Finale
Monday, December 07, 2015
A year ago yesterday, I posted a blog that, to be honest, took a lot of guts. I didn't like myself or my body, but felt it was important to start this journey on the right foot, so to speak. For anyone who didn't see it the first time, here's a link:

A year later, I am now 7 months past my original goal weight and have been maintaining successfully since then. The transformation is more internal than external - not that the physical transformation isn't amazing, but the mental transformation is COSMIC. (Sorry, I couldn't think of a better word to really capture how I feel about myself.)
Needless to say, I am incredibly happy and am committed to being in this program for the rest of my life. I can't imagine living life otherwise. I took some photos today. These will be the last I post in this "revealing myself" series. I may not ever be a model in a men's fitness magazine, but I have never felt so good about posting photos of myself shirtless.
I am so grateful for SparkPeople showing me the way to health, fitness, and a body that I could be proud of. It was hard work, but it was totally worth it.
A little over a year ago, I made the decision to try a different approach, to change my life, to change myself. I found SparkPeople, and the rest, as they say, is history. I made the decision to try, and the result was a tremendous accomplishment.
What will you accomplish when you really try to reach your goals?
