So I've been on a plateau for 2 weeks now and the holidays are upon us. How can I even compete with that? I've been doing really well but I am certain I will be indulging a bit over the next week or so. I guess I'm just going to have to do my best to control myself. I was hoping to be a few pounds under goal so I had a little wiggle room (literally) but at this point I'm already 2.8 lbs over goal. emoticon

I'm making Keto cookies for the holidays so I don't feel deprived of goodies. I'm also making lots of keto foods....macaroni salad for the family...faux potato (cauliflower) salad for me. I shouldn't really feel like I'm missing out on anything...it will just be a matter of not going crazy overboard on my macros overall.

I guess we are all struggling or concerned at this time of year. I'm trying not to stress too much about it.

I hope everyone is well emoticon

I've been playing around with the same 2 lbs. since November... it doesn't seem to matter what I eat or don't eat... could it be natural stress from this time of year? Maybe... but your mind is in the right place. By the way... a lot of that gain could be water due to carb creep. When the diet is keto one cookie can do that to me. Of course... when have I ever eaten just one cookie? Lol!!! I started a January Goals thread on the 5:2 team if you would like to join. It is in the Challenge forum and doesn't have to include fasting. You list what you want and we encourage one another during the ups and downs. It is nice to know when 2015 is over I can have a fresh start. Have a great weekend... and I have to say I ABSOLUTELY love your haircut... so much I've let my very short cut grow out some so I'm a copy-cat! emoticon

My weight hasn't changed in almost 4 months. I am 118 lbs and don't really need to lose more weight. I am doing the exact same things I did while losing weight so I guess I am at a plateau too. This works out well because I am maintaining my weight too.

For most people, just maintaining through the Blitz is an accomplishment. This year there's been a bumper crop of good chocolate at work. Luckily, some of it is dark chocolate with nuts, so I've been rationing out bits of it. I've stopped losing too for the time being, but January will be here before we know it! Back to the straight and not-all-that-narrow!

Love your attitude. You are doing the right thing. No need to panic. Everyone plateaus at some point and at this time of year it is hard to avoid all temptation so this may actually be a good time to have one. Try to ride this out the best you can without much damage and then shake things up after the first of the year. You have the advantage to know what works and the skills to do it. Have a great Christmas!!
