I ran. Outside. In front of people

Saturday, December 26, 2015

Today I ran. Outside. When it was still light out there. In front of 3 people, 1 child and 1 dog. I was on my walk and I decided to add a minute of running as fast as I could. And I didn't stop when people could see me. I love myself today.

One of the most intimidating things you can do but when you do, Boy! it makes you feel so good. I hope to be able to do that one day but right now my body wants to rebel just a tad. Keep up the good work and you will be amazed how quickly things improve.

That is actually awesome. Well done. The last time I run at all was about 7 years ago. I was doing a 10k charity walk with a friend and we decided to run to the finish line - about 3 or 400 meters. We completed the walk in under an hour - despite the hold up at the start and the snails pace until the entrants thinned out a little. Right now, I'd like to be sure I could walk 10k again, let alone in under an hour. Once I'm back to that pace, maybe I'll contemplate a minute or two of running.

Yay! I had my first run in October, and have been doing it regularly since. Mostly I do intervals, but it's great! Even ran in the rain today and, surprise, I LOVED it!! Congratulations! !

Well done. I understand the fear. It is one of my goals to run.
