Hello fellow Sparkers!
Another beautiful cold day here in Indiana! We walked outside this morning to find a light dust of snow covering our porch steps, and a thin layer of ice on our car windshield. Winter has finally arrived!
I took advantage of my time alone today (husband at work and son at friend's house), by doing 45 minutes of Zumba in my living room. It was upbeat and I had fun! Have you tried Zumba? If not, I encourage you to try it!
Today's verse is out of the good ole book of Proverbs, chapter 31:17: "She sets about her work vigorously: her arms are strong for her tasks."
If you're like me, the Proverbs 31 woman scares you a little...or maybe a lot. Who can compete with her? She's perfect! She gets up early, goes to bed late, is the perfect wife, mother, and business owner. It seems as though we can never measure up. I used to dread reading about her because she reminded me of my own inadequacies. Upon digging in deeper, however, we find that this woman is just like you and me, she just decides not to be idle with her days. Instead, she works vigorously and her arms are strong because of it.
We can take a lesson from this woman and choose to set about our work vigorously. When you wake up in the morning, decide now that you will work vigorously no matter what you do. Whether you work in an office, a gym, a factory, a semi, or at home, commit to making your arms strong tomorrow (and every day).
