I have almost made it a full week of school. I was so not ready to go back after break. For the most part, the students were pretty good, but today some seemed off the chain. I don't know if it was the sunshine, or it was because it was the 4th day back. Hopefully tomorrow they will not be as crazy!
It's been nice being back in a routine. It is sad, I need the structure for meals. I don't know if it is b/c I've had the structure for 13 years, but when I have days off of work, I seem to eat too much, or not enough, and I certainly don't drink enough water. While I am at work, I normally only eat what I bring, and drink LOTS of water. Thankfully my classes are only 42 mins, so I have time to use the restroom between classes!
I have also been pretty good with my exercising. My goal is do cardio for 30 mins each day, whether it be a run or a walk on the treadmill, or doing a walking DVD. So far, so good. I am also trying to incorporate weights 2-3 times a week. So far so good with that.
What's nice now is that my husband is trying to get healthier also. So now we are competing with our FitBits. I walked an extra 5 mins today just to get more steps than him!! HAHAHAHAHA!!! Hopefully we can keep this up. We both have been slacking the last few months, and really need to get in gear!
