I have almost made it a full week of school. I was so not ready to go back after break. For the most part, the students were pretty good, but today some seemed off the chain. I don't know if it was the sunshine, or it was because it was the 4th day back. Hopefully tomorrow they will not be as crazy!

It's been nice being back in a routine. It is sad, I need the structure for meals. I don't know if it is b/c I've had the structure for 13 years, but when I have days off of work, I seem to eat too much, or not enough, and I certainly don't drink enough water. While I am at work, I normally only eat what I bring, and drink LOTS of water. Thankfully my classes are only 42 mins, so I have time to use the restroom between classes!

I have also been pretty good with my exercising. My goal is do cardio for 30 mins each day, whether it be a run or a walk on the treadmill, or doing a walking DVD. So far, so good. I am also trying to incorporate weights 2-3 times a week. So far so good with that.

What's nice now is that my husband is trying to get healthier also. So now we are competing with our FitBits. I walked an extra 5 mins today just to get more steps than him!! HAHAHAHAHA!!! Hopefully we can keep this up. We both have been slacking the last few months, and really need to get in gear!

I believe it's both positive and very insightfulof you to recognize that you thrive best, eating-wise, when you're working within a set, organized framework or structure!

Keep us posted on that FitBit competition you and your husband are having! Sounds like a way to inject some fun into that exercise routine, too. emoticon

I totally agree--I need the structure for meals, too. Plus, I don't have the temptations at school that I had at home over the holidays.

Yay for the awesome exercise! Keep up the good work!

And double yay for a supportive hubby! That is so key to success.

Lucky too I miss the treats as I'm coeliac and most teacher treats are cakes doughnuts and cookies. So I am spared that temptation.

I am a special Ed aide I have to carry my water bottle around with me if I want to drink water at school. Sometimes leave it in rooms and then it's a lost cause. I prefer being at school for structured eating times and can only eat what I bring.
